Pharma Anveshan 2025 was a landmark conference held in tribute to the legendary Prof. M.L. Schroff, a visionary who significantly shaped the field of pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice. The event, organized in association with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), was centered on the theme “Entrepreneurship & Startups in Pharma and Pharmacy Practice: Encouraging Innovation, Incubation Centres, and Pharmaceutical Startups.” This conference aimed to foster meaningful discussions about the current and future landscape of the Pharmaceutical industry, with a special focus on how entrepreneurship and innovation can drive growth in the sector. As Pharmaceutical startups play an increasingly crucial role in shaping healthcare solutions, the event brought together thought leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss best practices, opportunities, and strategies for building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in India’s pharmaceutical industry. The event was skillfully organized by Prof. (Dr.) M.S Ashawat and coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Pandit, whose exceptional leadership and organizational skills ensured that the conference ran smoothly

The event was graced by the presence of Sh. Gopal Krishan Sharma, President of the Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council and Member of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) as the Chief Guests and Dr. Ran Singh, MD Laureate Group of Institute. Other distinguished special guests included Sh. Dinesh, Drug Inspector of Hamirpur, Sh. Arun, Member of the Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council (HPSPC), Sh. Hemant Sharma, Member of the HPSPC, and Dr. Rajender Guleria, President of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). The conference commenced with a heartfelt welcome note delivered by Dr. M.S. Ashawat, Director and Principal of Laureate Institute of Pharmacy. Following the welcome address, the guests shared their valuable views about the theme. Dr. Ran Singh emphasized the importance of encouraging innovation in pharmaceutical education and practice, suggesting that the future of the pharmaceutical industry relies heavily on startups that integrate modern technology and novel approaches to drug discovery. Sh. Gopal Krishan Sharma highlighted the role of regulatory bodies in supporting these startups, stressing the need for clear policies that encourage innovation while ensuring safety and efficacy.
